Position: Advanced Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer
Client: Aerospace/Defense
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Length: Long-term contract position
Hourly rate: up to $66/hr W-2
Security Clearance: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe); U.S. citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI to automate integration and deployment processes.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with tools like Terraform and Ansible to ensure scalability and reliability.
Implement automated security measures at every stage of the software development lifecycle to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
Write scripts and code (Python, Terraform, Ansible) to automate workflows and integrate systems.
Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS GovCloud and Azure GovCloud to optimize virtualized test environments, including digital twin architectures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency with C++
Experienced with Kubernetes K8s
Experience with Government Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RK2E)
Experience with building and deploying Kubernetes PODs and ReplicaSets
Experience with Docker
Experience with DevSecOps (Gitlab, GitlabRunner, SAST, DAST, NeuVector, Ansible, or similar automation tools)
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience. Agile experience is preferred.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with Longhorn, Argo, ArgoCD, Keycloak, Persistent Volumes, Terraform
Experience with bash, Python or other scripting languages
